iCanSpeak Software Goes to Trials
For the 3% of the population who have a speech disfluency and stutter, speaking can be a very frustrating experience.
iCanSpeak is a combination of software and hardware that makes use of a number of techniques including delayed auditory feedback to assist people who stutter to improve their fluency.
In January of 2006, iCanSpeak went into clinical trials funded by the Kiwanis Club of Ottawa Medical Foundation. The results of the trials are not yet available, however initial testing has delivered excellent results.
iCanSpeak will not be released for public testing until the completion of the clinical trials, and at that time, the software will be available for a free download for the personal computer based version, and as charityware for the mobile version.
